Gmate opens up entire new market

With their new glucose meters, Gmate tries to open up new markets and economies. The meters are getting cheaper and from a higher quality. With this, they are also affordable for poor people. Especially China and Africa are upcoming markets for the new meters. They are highly innovative and easy to use. But the prices are lower than those of the Gmate Smart.

What Is Gmate's Goal?

It is not about extra profit for Gmate. It is about corporate responsibility and ethics. There are a lot of glucose meters available for western countries and upcoming South-American and Asian countries. But, there are also other continents. With people who cannot pay for these glucose meters. They can die because of this or get serious problems. Therefore Gmate decided to create cheaper meters which are available in those countries.

The profits that are made are low, but still good enough. But, in comparison, the lives that can be saved are huge. That is why Gmate decided to take action. The new glucose meters are already available in almost every city and village. The test strips that are used are from lower quality, but also cheaper. Some governments also sponsor those strips to make it more affordable for their citizens.

What Does This Change Means?

More saved lives eventually. It is expensive for those people to go to the doctor and get medicines. But in this way they can check their health and diabetes more easily and also in a cheaper way.
